VP of Engineering
I'm currently partnered with one of the biggest names in their industry - a genuinely market-leading organisation with world-renowned clients - and they are looking for an exceptional VP of Engineering to join them during a hugely exciting period of growth.
This is a standout opportunity for a senior engineering leader who still enjoys staying hands-on. The role is a true 50/50 split between leadership and coding, giving you both strategic influence and deep technical involvement.
The position is fully remote across the UK, with a highly competitive salary of £150,000-£200,000, and some exceptional benefits.
The RoleAs VP of Engineering, you'll take ownership of both the technical direction and the growth of the engineering function. You will be managing and mentoring a development team of 10 engineers, working directly with both the CTO and the Founder, and shaping how the business scales throughout 2026 and beyond.
My client is investing heavily into their engineering organisation, and this role will be absolutely central to building out a world-class team.

Manage, mentor and grow an engineering team of 10

Hands-On Engineering (50%)

Contribute directly to the codebase, primarily across Django, AWS, React/Vue

Lead architectural decision-making and system design

Solve complex technical challenges and drive high-performance engineering

Maintain high quality through code reviews and technical guidance

Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Head of Engineering or VP

Strong background in managing and scaling engineering teams

Hands-on technical expertise with Django, AWS, and modern JavaScript frameworks

Someone who enjoys combining leadership with hands-on coding
