Cloud Engineer Location: Glasgow - HybridSalary: 45,000-60,000Job Type: Permanent, Full-time The Opportunity We are working with a growing IT consultancy in Glasgow that is looking to add an experienced Cloud Engineer to its technical team.You will work across a range of client environments, helping businesses design, implement and improve their cloud infrastructure. The role will involve a mixture of project delivery, cloud migrations, automation and ongoing technical support.This would suit someone with strong Microsoft Azure experience who enjoys working with different customers and taking ownership of technical projects from initial discovery through to delivery and handover. What You'll Be Doing Designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure environmentsDelivering cloud migration and modernisation projectsBuilding and managing Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage and identitySupporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune environmentsImplementing security, monitoring, backup and disaster-recovery solutionsCreating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or BicepAutomating deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell or Azure DevOpsProducing clear technical documentation, including build guides and handover documentsTroubleshooting complex cloud and infrastructure issuesWorking directly with customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable solutionsCollaborating with architects, project managers and support teams to deliver projects successfully What We're Looking For Strong commercial experience working with Microsoft AzureExperience delivering cloud migration or infrastructure transformation projectsGood knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, VPNs, NSGs and private endpointsExperience with Entra ID, Conditional Access and role-based access controlKnowledge of Microsoft 365 and IntuneExperience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or BicepPowerShell or other scripting and automation experienceUnderstanding of cloud security, governance, backup and monitoringStrong troubleshooting and documentation skillsConfidence working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts clearlyPrevious experience within an MSP or IT consultancy would be advantageous Desirable Experience Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-700Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipeline experienceExposure to AWSExperience with Windows Server, Active Directory and hybrid infrastructureKnowledge of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected FrameworkExperience producing high-level or low-level technical designs What's on Offer Salary between 45,000 and 60,000, depending on experienceHybrid working from the Glasgow officeExposure to varied cloud projects across multiple client environmentsTraining and support toward further Microsoft certificationsClear opportunities for technical and career progressionA collaborative consultancy environment with the opportunity to influence technical deliveryCloud EngineerOscar Associates (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.To understand more about what we do with your data please review our privacy policy in the privacy section of the Oscar website.
