As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their expanding analytics function.
Role Overview
As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the business. You'll work with large datasets, financial products, customer data and performance metrics to help shape the organisation's direction and enhance its competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and key insights.
- Develop dashboards, visualisations and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Provide analytical support to teams across Finance, Risk, Operations and Customer functions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Ensure all data outputs meet regulatory expectations and are accurate, compliant and aligned with internal governance standards.
- Support the development of data models and forecasting tools to enhance planning and performance analysis.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear, concise and commercially focused manner.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in data quality, data governance and reporting processes.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within financial services, banking, insurance, pensions or fintech.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL is essential; experience with Python or R is advantageous.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar).
- Strong understanding of data governance, reporting standards or FCA-regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data validation and quality assurance.
- Degree in a STEM, finance or data-related discipline preferred.
