The Opportunity

I'm currently working with a leading global private markets investment firm, as they continue to invest in and expand their internal data capability. With over €20 billion of assets under management and investment strategies spanning Europe and North America, they are committed to using technology and data to drive smarter decision-making and long-term value creation.

As part of an exciting period of growth, they're looking to hire a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a key role in building out their data function. You'll help shape the firm's modern analytics platform, working across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and AI-enabled solutions to deliver trusted, scalable data products that support investment teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop robust ELT/ETL pipelines and data models to support reporting and analytics.
  • Deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and semantic models for business users.
  • Champion data governance, data quality and best practices across the organisation.
  • Work closely with investment, finance and operational stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Help establish a trusted, centralised data platform and single source of truth.
  • Explore and implement AI-driven capabilities to improve reporting, automation and business insight.
  • Optimise performance, reliability and scalability across the analytics environment.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and promote engineering best practices.
  • Support the continued growth and maturity of the wider data function.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, Analytics Developer or similar.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience designing scalable data models.
  • Strong Power BI development experience, including semantic modelling and DAX.
  • Good understanding of data governance, data quality and metadata management.
  • Experience building modern data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within Asset Management, Private Equity, Financial Services or another regulated environment.
  • Exposure to AI technologies, Copilot or Generative AI use cases within analytics.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and modern Microsoft data technologies.
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Understanding of security, compliance and data privacy within enterprise environments.
  • Passion for building data capabilities within a growing team.
