Telemetry and Observability Engineer
Telemetry & Observability Engineer | Contract | £475-£515 p/d | Inside IR35 | London | 3 days on site | 6 month contract
We’re looking for a hands-on Telemetry & Observability Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise environment building modern observability capabilities across complex distributed systems.
This role is focused on designing and developing telemetry pipelines, improving monitoring and reliability, and embedding observability into engineering and platform teams.
Key skills:
- Strong experience with OpenTelemetry (building telemetry pipelines)
- Terraform for automation / infrastructure as code
- Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Elastic or Splunk
- Experience in distributed / cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, microservices)
- Background in network or infrastructure monitoring
- Proactive mindset and interest in AI-driven monitoring / operations
This is a hands-on engineering role, not just tool usage – we’re looking for someone who can build and evolve observability platforms.
