Otodata is a global leader in tank telemetry solutions, delivering technology and services that help fuel and propane businesses optimize deliveries, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Our teams are committed to excellence and innovation—so our customers can run smarter, safer, more predictable distribution operations.
Responsibilities
Oil & gas distributors win on reliability and service. In this role, you’ll be the front-line strategic partner for distributors across UK & Ireland, ensuring they get an outstanding customer experience while adopting best-in-class tank telemetry services—from first conversation through deployment, value realization, and long-term growth.
You’ll combine strategic account leadership + consultative sales + relentless customer service: listening, solving issues fast, aligning internal teams, and making sure every distributor feels supported and successful.
You will:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and grow market share in the region.
- Identify and prioritize key market segments, customers, and prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive growth and collaboration.
- Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing—while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Partner closely with marketing, product development, and customer support to align strategies and deliver integrated solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to spot opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Represent Otodata at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build awareness and generate leads.
Customer service emphasis (what “great” looks like here):
- Be the trusted point-of-contact for distributor stakeholders—commercial, operations, and leadership—ensuring responsiveness and clear follow-through.
- Coordinate fast, high-quality support by mobilizing the right internal resources (sales, operations, finance, customer support).
- Keep implementations on track by proactively removing blockers and communicating progress.
- Turn issues into loyalty by owning outcomes and protecting the distributor experience end-to-end.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA/advanced degree preferred).
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, and strategic management, with a track record of revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and the regulatory environment (UK-focused in the approved JD).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic, analytical approach—able to build and execute complex commercial plans.
- Self-motivated and results-driven; comfortable operating autonomously.
- Willingness to travel frequently in-region and occasionally internationally.
Location & travel
- UK-based, home-based role; regular visits to the European HQ in Poland.
- Frequent regional travel; occasional international travel.
