Temporary Technical Support Advisor (Remote)

We’re looking for organised, customer-focused people to join our support team on a temporary basis and help us maintain our exceptional service standards over the busy winter season. This role is fully remote, but applicants should be located in the South East of England in order to attend in-person training days.

The Opportunity

You’ll be the first point of contact for customers needing help with their purchase. That could mean checking a delivery status, processing a refund, or answering questions about Outsmarted. You’ll also handle technical support so should be confident with technology and quick to learn. Typical technical support queries include helping customers run the app on iOS, Android, or Windows devices, troubleshooting common issues, or assisting them in getting the game set up on their TV.

What you’ll be doing

  • Helping customers with order and delivery issues.
  • Answering general questions about products, orders, and after-sales.
  • Solving technical support issues
  • Using Shopify, Richpanel, Slack and our in-house systems to track and resolve queries.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong communication skills - able to write clear, friendly, and professional responses.
  • Great tech skills and familiarity with IOS, Android and Windows
  • Organised and reliable - able to keep track of multiple queries at once.
  • A positive, customer-first attitude with patience and empathy.
  • Strong IT literacy - comfortable using apps, email, and online systems.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience using Shopify or a customer support system.
  • Extra languages - especially German, French or Dutch.
  • An interest in games, apps and tech.
  • Previous tech support experience or an IT qualification.

Work location

  • This role is fully remote - you’ll need a stable home internet connection and a quiet workspace but you must be based in the South of England to attend in person training days.

Working hours

  • This role is shift based and will require you to work alternate weekends, as well as regular evening shifts. This is an essential part of the role so please do not apply if you have limited weekend or evening availability.

Contract details

  • Dates: 6th October th January 2026.
  • Hours: 40 hours a week in flexible shifts including regular evenings and weekends.
  • Important: You MUST be available to work on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. If keeping these dates free is a priority, this won’t be the right role for you.

What we offer

  • £15 -£17 per hour depending on experience.
  • Festive bonus:
  • £500 extra for working 24th–26th December
  • £300 extra for working 31st December–1st January
  • Training provided and ongoing support from the team
  • Possibility of progressing into a full-time role in technical support and potential for progression within the organisation.
