Senior Software Developer Warton (Hybrid: 1–2 days on site) £34.77 PAYE or £44.31 Umbrella (inside IR35) 12-Month Contract BPSS required (SC in progress, ITAR restrictions apply)Overview We’re looking for Senior Software Developers to support the Engineering Support Subsystem (ESS)—a critical platform used by the RAF to monitor, diagnose, and maintain combat aircraft systems. You’ll join a collaborative team developing primarily .NET (C#) desktop applications (WPF/WinForms) integrated with Oracle databases.Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and contribute to software design
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable code
- Write tests and technical documentation
- Support integration, build, and testing activities
- Contribute to tooling, standards, and team improvements
- Strong C# / .NET experience
- Knowledge of VB6
- WPF and/or WinForms
- Git/ClearCase, Azure DevOps
- Oracle, SQL, XML
- Automated testing tools
- TDD, SOLID, Agile
- 37 hours/week, flexible working hours
- STEM degree or equivalent experience required
