PLC Control Systems Engineer

PLC Control Systems Engineer Location: Glascoed, Pontypool, BAE Systems Working Arrangements: 3 days a week onsite Contract: 6-12 Months (37 hours per week)Hourly Rate: £27.44 PAYE or £36.85 Umbrella Role Overview:

• Define and implement control system requirements for new machinery.
• Develop and validate processes that are robust, safe, and cost-effective.
• Specify, qualify, and commission new equipment in line with regulatory and safety standards.
• Modify PLC/HMI/SCADA programs and other programmable devices.
• Conduct and document Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) activities.
• Provide expert input into tendering, commissioning, and qualification processes.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience with PLC systems (ideally TIA and Simatic Manager).
• Strong knowledge of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) and related methodologies.
• A minimum HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic / Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
