V05375 - DIG - Facility Engineer

Facility Engineer   Contract: 12 months  Based: Broadoak, Portsmouth Hourly Rate:  £41.87 PAYE or £56.44 Umbrella inside ir35 Hours: 37 hours Monday – Friday The Lightning Systems Integration Facility (LSIF), based within the Maritime Integration & Support Centre (MISC), supports testing and integration of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft into UK military infrastructure. BAE Systems are seeking a Facility Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the LSIF within this environment. This role will include commissioning networks between key facility areas, maintaining government-furnished IT equipment (including large servers), and supporting testing events and facility reconfiguration.Skills:

• IT networking (Cisco and other vendors such as F5, McAfee)
• LAN/WAN infrastructure, network device configuration and troubleshooting
• IT monitoring tools (e.g., WhatsUpGold, SCCM, SCOM, SNMP, SysLog)
• Cisco VOIP administration
• IT system interconnection across multiple security classifications

The Job

• Support the day-to-day running of the LSIF
• Assist with the build, production and maintenance of LSIF hardware
• Assist with LSIF security matters (including IVCO duties)
• Support planning, execution and reporting of testing events
• Contribute to long-term facility planning
• Assist with procurement and management of LSIF hardware/software
• Maintain configuration control of assets, documents, change requests, passwords, etc.
• Become a resident expert in the administration of the government-provided system
