Senior Network EngineerContract: 12 MonthsBased: ChristchurchHourly Rate: £53.73 PAYE or £72.54 Umbrella inside IR35Hours: 37 hoursOnsite: 2 /3 days per week  Interested in developing next-generation communication systems that enhance Command, Control and Situational Awareness across the whole battlespace?  BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Digital Intelligence team, working at the forefront of communications and networking within one of the world’s largest engineering organisations.    Skills:

• Routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP and RIP
• Network design experience aligned to customer requirement
• Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV)
• Virtual Private Networking (VPN), IPSec and PKI/Certificate Authorities
• Network management protocols (SNMP, SSH, Syslog, ICMP)
• Virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Linux KVM)
• Deployed communication systems in constrained environments

    The Job

• Supporting the development and delivery of ECRS Mk2 Radome and Radar equipment into aircraft  Producing high- and low-level network designs to meet challenging requirements
• Building and configuring networked hardware and software solutions
• Integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software
• Adhering to systems engineering best practice
• Fault finding and resolving issues in production environments
• Producing clear, concise technical documentation
• Collaborating within an agile team, including knowledge sharing and peer reviews
• Reporting progress and providing feedback to leadership
• Supporting deployments through occasional customer site visits
