This is a pivotal role with significant autonomy, perfect for a commercially driven individual with a strong technical understanding of energy infrastructure.Business Development Manager – Data Centre Energy Solutions Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of energy infrastructure projects within the data centre market.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders across the ecosystem (developers, EPC contractors, hyperscale operators).
- Build partnerships early in the planning phase to influence energy concept designs.
- Propose tailored energy solutions that meet needs such as resilient power, decarbonisation, and efficiency.
- Coordinate technical teams to create high-impact proposals and value-driven energy packages.
- Monitor and respond to trends in low-carbon technologies, grid independence, and energy policy.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and through networking initiatives.
- A proven track record in business development within the energy, power systems, HVAC, CHP, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Deep knowledge of the UK data centre landscape and its energy challenges.
- A strong network across data centre developers, planners, EPCs, or consultants.
- Commercial negotiation experience with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and commercial audiences.
- A technical background (e.g. mechanical or electrical engineering) is a significant advantage.
