Head of Humanitarian Influencing

The Role:Responsibility for OGB's influencing approach to Humanitarian Influencing across the UK. Responsibility for campaign and influencing strategy development as well as stakeholder and political risk management
What we are looking for:We're looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.
An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
- Experience managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential and increasing diversity and supporting a culture of inclusion in teams and / or workplaces.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of international humanitarian policy and practice issues with an understanding of the priorities and practices of a range of donors supporting humanitarian action internationally.
- A proven track record of leading successful influencing work, including the generation of original ideas and innovative approaches in leading initiatives, and experience with funding, campaigns, policy, influencing, programme, and coalitions.
- Experience of overseeing and managing team budgets.
- Experience of representing and communicating an issue effectively externally in policy, influencing, lobbying and media work.
- Experience of mobilising internal stakeholders around a vision for a major area of work and driving change within a large and complex globally networked confederation.
- Experience in using research data and learnings for the development of programmes and/or policy.
- Ability to explain decisions based on organisational values.
- Capacity to make complex information accessible and understandable to non-technical audiences.
- Proven sound judgement in complex situations.
