Digital Transformation Test Lead
Job summary
The Test Lead is an integral member of the Digital Operations team, reporting and supporting the Digital Operations Testing and Training Team Lead across a broad range of projects.
The Test Lead is responsible for the design, creation and execution of test scripts which fully cover all functional and non-functional requirements with a system under test. The Test Lead is also responsible for supporting the creation of test plans in line with the overall Test Policy.
Investigates and supports staff on a variety of complex test processes and scripts, presenting information in such a way to ensure senior staff that digital systems have been robustly tested to go live safely.
The post holder will have specialist knowledge of different testing criteria, and be able to select the correct testing mechanisms for the trust to carry out for digital upgrades and new systems.
The post holder will manage testing element of large and complex digital projects.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to be able produce specialist testing criteria from complex business requirements and user stories.
Be responsible for both testing directly and leading other specialist and non specialist team members in testing a digital system.
Work directly and communicate effectively with users and stakeholders in order to establish test requirements.
Responsible for writing and maintaining test plans for digital systems
The post holder must have a knowledge of a range of different testing mechanisms such as regression, penetration and functionality testing and ensure the trust undertakes system testing rigorously
Use specialist knowledge on testing to be able to authorise system go live for complex and new digital systems preparing the test policy, strategy and scripts for others to follow.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Relevant course (ASTQB Certificate in software testing or equivalent)
Experience
- Experience of UAT and Functional test script creation, execution and reporting
- Able to write clear policy and guidance documents
Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrate ability in designing test cases and scripts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
