Hours and Duration: Full time, 3-month contract


The role of Procurement Project Manager
Our client, who is a leading charity in the UK, is looking for a Procurement Project Manager to join the team on a contract basis for 3 months, to lead and manage a project that is dedicated to submitting and securing a large public sector bid tender. This pivotal role requires governance expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to drive complex projects involving multiple third parties.

The Procurement Project Manager will largely work remotely but may need to attend the client site in London when needed, and therefore candidates applying should ensure they can commit to this requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Governance and Planning: Define project scope, establish governance frameworks, and create a comprehensive project plan to align with the bid process
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the Bid Director, external bid writers, and subcontractors to ensure streamlined project execution
  • Project Driving: Maintain momentum in the bid process, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met effectively
  • Contract and Compliance Management: Oversee aspects related to contracts, compliance requirements, and legal documentation involving third parties


About You
The successful candidate should have demonstrable experience in a similar project management role, and be a diligent, highly focused professional, with excellent communication skills. You should also have the following experience:

  • Large Bid Projects: Prior involvement in the production, management, and delivery of significant high value bids
  • Multi-Party Collaboration: Experience coordinating projects with multiple subcontractors (up to 20) and managing third-party contributions
  • Governance Expertise: Proven ability to define project scope and establish governance for large, complex projects
  • Contracts and Compliance: Familiarity with legal, compliance, and contractual aspects within project environments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex timelines and competing priorities
