RMA Technician
Job Description We are a Computer System Integrator selling Custom PCs to customers throughout the UK. All sales are internet based and customer led. We are a continually expanding, well-managed and ambitious Company. *JOB DESCRIPTION**Title:* RMA Technician *Reports to:* RMA Manager *Based at:* PC Specialist Ltd, Unit 12 Jubilee Way Grange Moor Wakefield WF4 4TD *Job Description:* We are looking for an I.T. RMA Technician with a good eye for detail, in order to diagnose and repair potential hardware and software issues that may occur in both Desktop and Laptop systems. *Key responsibilities and accountabilities:** Establishing the condition of the system and accompanying peripherals.
* Examine fault report to ascertain necessary course of action.
* When necessary converse with customers to determine details of equipment problems.
* Operate machines to test functioning of parts or mechanisms and software.
* Make an assessment of which components could be faulty, replace and retest.
* Reinstall software programs or adjust settings on existing software to fix machine malfunctions
* Ensure the customer is kept up to date with the RMA
* Reassemble machines after making repairs or replacing parts.
* Maintain records of equipment maintenance work or repairs.
* Test Repaired ,upgraded systems to ensure that they are in working order.
* Responsible for ensuring the system is adequately packaged and ready for dispatch. *General Duties** Ensure the compliance of company procedures, such as Health and Safety; Environmental; Quality for all areas under your direct control.
* Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
* Willingly carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the company.
* Make sure that any equipment that you use is in good working order and that a physical check is conducted weekly.
* Work in accordance to, and to the standards set within the RMA handbook.
* Overtime offered in busy periods.
