Product Owner
PE Global is currently recruiting for a Product Owner for an initial 6 month contract role with a leading multinational Pharma client based in either Basingstoke – Hybrid.
Working within an agile, AI-assisted environment, you will support the integration and delivery of digital products and services to external customers and our internal workforce. The TPO will develop foundational skills in technology integration, product ownership, and stakeholder collaboration while contributing to real business outcomes across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Technology Integration & Delivery: Assist in the delivery of new digital products or services that address business problems or opportunities across the NEH. Help modify or configure existing systems to meet evolving business requirements.
- Requirements & Solution Support: Contribute to requirements definition, analysis, and design activities following the full end to end Software Development Lifecycle. Assist in translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria within requirements management tooling (Jira), supporting sprint planning and backlog grooming.
- Agile Team Participation: Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews) as an engaged team member. Develop foundational understanding of agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication between technology and business stakeholders, supporting the resolution of day-to-day queries. Build working relationships across the NEH Digital Products & Services team, our organization and key business partners.
- Incident & Change Support: Support the resolution of incidents and change requests within committed service levels. Collect relevant information to assist in diagnosing and resolving issues raised by business partners or end users.
- Documentation & Reporting: Support the recording and reporting of status for assigned items and modification requests. Contribute to the maintenance of technical and product documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, particularly in AI, automation, and digital product management. Apply new knowledge to support the Embracing Technology agenda across the NEH hub.
- Compliance & Security Awareness: Develop an understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements. Support efforts to ensure that our information assets are protected and that solutions align with regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information, Business Technology, or a related field (recent graduates or those completing their degree are encouraged to apply).
- Understanding of, or demonstrable interest in, agile product development and IT service management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks and tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Exposure to or curiosity about AI, automation, and digital innovation.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse, geographically distributed teams.
- A growth mindset with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
