About PHIX

PHIX is a rapidly growing global fashion brand inspired by 70s rock & roll, luxury tailoring and music culture. We design statement collections worn worldwide and operate across ecommerce, marketing, logistics, content production and international fulfilment.

As the business continues to scale, we are now looking to integrate AI and automation into every area of the company, from operations and customer experience to marketing, analytics and creative workflows.

We are looking for an ambitious, highly curious and AI-obsessed university student to work directly with the founder this summer on implementing practical AI systems across the business.

This is not a corporate internship.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work inside a fast-growing global brand and help shape how AI is integrated into a modern ecommerce company.

The Role

You will work directly alongside the founder and team to identify opportunities where AI, automation and modern tools can improve efficiency, workflows and productivity across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who spends their spare time experimenting with ChatGPT, Claude, AI tools, automations, APIs or side projects and wants real-world experience applying those skills inside a growing company.

What You’ll Work On

• Researching and implementing AI tools across different departments
• Building AI-assisted workflows and automations
• Improving operational and ecommerce processes
• Assisting with AI-powered dashboards and reporting
• Exploring ways to automate repetitive tasks
• Helping improve internal systems and productivity
• Working with marketing and creative teams on AI-assisted workflows
• Testing and researching emerging AI tools and technologies
• Helping identify practical ways AI can save time and improve output across the business

You may also have the opportunity to work on:

• Shopify systems
• Data/reporting dashboards
• AI-enhanced customer service workflows
• Automation tools
• Internal operational systems

Who We’re Looking For

We are not looking for someone highly corporate or overly academic.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is genuinely obsessed with AI and technology
• Studies Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related subject
• Is highly proactive and curious
• Enjoys solving problems and building systems
• Thinks entrepreneurially
• Has experimented with AI tools outside of university
• Learns quickly and enjoys figuring things out independently
• Has strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Bonus if you have experience with:

• ChatGPT / Claude workflows
• APIs
• Python
• Automation tools
• Shopify
• Dashboards/data visualisation
• AI agents or no-code tools
• Side projects or startups
