This is a social mission led business, "tech for good" platform. Their product is not only unique, but contributes a huge amount of support to its users in a huge amount of different ways.

The Job

This is a player / lead role, someone who can help shape the team and build process as well as get their sleeves rolled up to do the work.

This role will work at the heart of the Product Team, partnering with developers, designers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the platform is reliable and resilient. Your focus spans the full development lifecycle — identifying risks early, validating new features, safeguarding technical changes, and maintaining strong regression coverage. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers on design and delivery, shaping testability, reviewing requirements, and contributing to code reviews with a quality‐first mindset.

You’ll drive the modernisation of our testing practices as we shift from .NET Framework to .NET Core and evolve our Azure infrastructure. Along the way, you’ll protect platform stability, boost automation coverage, and play a crucial role in delivering fast, reliable features that truly support our users.

The majority of the platform is running on .NET Framework 4. 7.2 , some newer elements are .NET Core .

• Our stack is SQL Server, MassTransit + Rabbit MQ , ASP.MVC, Web Forms, ASP .NET Web API, server side rendering & some Angular + Vue SPAs , running several sites & backend services .

• The platform is hosted in Azure on Windows VMs.

• Our CI/CD stack is Gitea + TeamCity + Octopus Deploy.

As Senior QA, you will work with and test across all these layers.

Essential Skills

• Testing complex web platforms across the full SDLC

• Early/static testing of requirements and designs

• Functional, integration, API, system, smoke, and regression testing

• Strong collaboration with developers, designers, analysts, and product owners

• Test automation (Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, BrowserStack)

• API testing with Postman or similar

• Clear, thorough documentation

• Strong communication; Agile/Scrum experience

• Analysing complex workflows, edge cases, and failure scenarios

• Testing SPAs (Angular/Vue) and responsive UIs

• Working with CI/CD pipelines and quality gates

• Performance testing (JMeter, Gatling)

Desirable skills

• Experience with legacy -to-modern platform transitions (e.g., .NET Framework to .NET Core)

• Familiarity with tools such as Zephyr / XRay for Jira, TestRail, TestMu AI, Fiddler

• Understanding of Azure -based systems and distributed architectures

• Experience with message -driven architectures (MassTransit, RabbitMQ) 4

• Familiarity with SQL for validating data, performing investigations and debugging issues • Interest in mentoring junior QA and engineers regarding quality practices

• Experience with t est data management approaches
