Location: Hybrid - 3 days in office at the 25 NC office, London

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with experience in the energy trading domain. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements and technical solutions, leveraging strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. This role involves working with trading data, SQL, Python, and BI tools to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and functional specifications in the energy trading domain.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and work closely with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders.
• Write high-level SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate trading data.
• Develop Python scripts for data analysis, reporting, and automation.
• Support data analytics and migration projects, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI (experience with Tableau is a plus).
• Perform data modeling, mapping, and validation to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong functional Business Analyst skills; ability to engage with stakeholders and understand business processes.
• Medium-level trading domain understanding, preferably in energy markets.
• SQL: Advanced skills in querying and retrieving data.
• Python: Intermediate skills for data analysis and automation.
• Experience in data modeling and data analytics.
• High-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to data migration projects (analytics-focused experience preferred).

Good to Have:

• Experience in Power BI and Tableau for reporting and dashboard creation.
• Understanding of energy trading systems and market operations.
