Temporary Data Validation & Market Research Assistant

Hours: Part-Time / Full-Time - Flexible

Pay rate: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour

Role Overview

We are looking for a confident and professional individual to support our clients marketing and business development activities on a temporary basis.

The primary focus of the role will be making proactive outbound calls to existing contacts and organisations to verify and update company information, including contact details, job titles and business addresses.

This is not a sales role, but it does require someone who is comfortable speaking with businesses, representing our brand professionally and introducing our products and services when appropriate.

Alongside telephone-based research, the successful candidate will conduct online research using internet resources and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to identify key company information, validate records and support data quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to existing contacts and businesses to verify and update company information.
• Validate and maintain the accuracy of contact data within company systems.
• Professionally represent the company and confidently explain our brand, products and services where relevant.
• Conduct online research to identify business information, decision-makers and company details.
• Use internet research and Microsoft Copilot to gather and validate information.
• Record and update findings accurately within company databases and spreadsheets.
• Escalate potential sales opportunities or business insights to the relevant team members.
• Support general marketing and business development administration as required.

Skills & Experience

• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable speaking with a wide range of business contacts.
• Competent using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in data validation, customer service, administration, telemarketing, market research or lead generation would be advantageous.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Familiarity with online research tools and AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot is desirable.

This role would suit someone with experience in administration, customer service, telemarketing, market research, sales support or marketing who enjoys talking to people and investigating information.
