WASTE OPERATIVE
Position: Waste Operative
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire
Salary: £13.87 per hour (pay to increase after temp period has been completed)

Due to the location you would need to drive and have access to your own transport.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Work with clinical healthcare waste
- Operate plant and equipment to process clinical waste, including mechanical bin washers, bin tippers, and conveyors
- Load and unload vehicles
- Move full and empty bins around the depot
- Use weighbridge software to weigh and record waste movements in and out of the depot
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is looking for a position that offers both responsibility and the chance to develop new skills. The organisation is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety, ensuring that all team members are well-equipped and trained.
Skills and experience:
- Physical fitness
- Basic IT skills (training will be provided on weighbridge software)
- Full driving licence
- Reliability, with good time management
- Awareness of Health & Safety
- Team player, but also able to work on your own initiative
- Good understanding of English (spoken and written)
- Your own transport due to the location of the site
This role requires candidates to provide their own safety footwear (steel toe caps and mid-sole protection), while other PPE will be provided. On-site parking is available, with reverse parking only.
