BMC Helix CMDB Architect

We are looking for an experienced BMC Helix CMDB Architect to design, implement, and manage the CMDB within the BMC Helix ITSM ecosystem.

The role focuses on building a scalable CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, and enabling effective service mapping to support IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CMDB architecture aligned with business needs
• Define CI classes, relationships, and extend the Common Data Model (CDM)
• Implement and manage BMC Helix Discovery (ADDM) and Service Mapping
• Establish data governance, reconciliation, and normalization processes
• Ensure high data quality, accuracy, and completeness of CMDB
• Integrate CMDB with ITSM modules and external systems (cloud, monitoring, DevOps tools)
• Automate workflows using Helix Innovation Studio / Remedy
• Collaborate with stakeholders and drive CMDB adoption and maturity
• Monitor performance and optimize CMDB and discovery processes
• CMDB Migration capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in ITSM / CMDB domain with strong BMC Helix experience
• Expertise in BMC Helix CMDB, Discovery (ADDM), and ITSM Suite
• Strong understanding of CDM, CI lifecycle, and relationship modeling
• Hands-on with Reconciliation and Normalization engines
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and data modeling
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred

• ITIL certification
• Experience with Service Mapping and multi-cloud environments
• Exposure to DevOps and AIOps concepts
