L3 ICT Support Technician Apprentice – Prelim Consulting Limited - WFH (Medway)

Role
Our support team works with cutting-edge cloud technology to support customers across the UK and Europe. We work 100% remotely and help our customers do the same.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day support for customer laptop installations (Windows 10 & 11)
- Assisting customers with queries related to tools such as Office 365 & JumpCloud
- Helping customers connect to devices such as headsets, printers
- Actioning user tickets including internal employee changes and customer related queries
- Providing advanced support to IT team as capability and knowledge grows throughout role
- Building / commissioning customer laptop/desktop computers
- Administering Microsoft 365 for Business customer accounts
- Administering JumpCloud including creation/modification of users, devices
- Carrying out certain administration tasks, such as PowerShell scripts or other automated systems
- Troubleshooting basic network/connectivity issues
- Perform remote or face to face troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and relevant questions, typically conducted using Teams, Google Meet or similar
Essential skills and characteristics:
- Basic experience of Windows 10/11Good understanding or interest in different technologies
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Interested in learning new technologies and skills
- Willing to listen to customers and understand the impact problems have on them
- Always willing to ask questions when you are unsure, and to ask for help when needed
- Curious – always interested to understand more about why a particular tool or technique is used
- Must have a suitable, quiet space to work from home, 5 days per week
Training
- During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the Level 3 Information Communications Technician Standard
