Production Engineer Apprentice

Electronics production engineering role, supporting all aspects of assembly and testing of LED display devices for both military and commercial applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Assist with the development/improvement/rectification of production processes; the post holder will assist in the support of efficiency, productivity, quality and profitability and enable products to be produced at the rate needed to meet customer demand. · Undertaking detailed analysis using statistical methods process weakness will be evidenced and corrective actions applied; improvements will be measured and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) produced for management information. · Working alongside Design and Manufacturing departments, high quality production processes will be implemented for new products and day to day material process related issues resolved. · Enhance existing or development of new manufacturing processes. This will involve understanding how machinery and test equipment works and determining the right parameters, tools and materials to be used in the process. · Establish productive, dynamic, working relationships with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments, maintaining regular associations through meetings and communications to discuss any issues.
