Engineering Supervisor
Engineering Supervisor – Critical Data Centre | Slough
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join a high-performing team at a mission-critical data centre in Slough. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of critical infrastructure systems within a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate a team of engineers delivering planned and reactive maintenance across critical systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generators, etc.)
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with site procedures, SLAs, and compliance standards
- Act as the technical point of contact for escalation and incident management
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure safe systems of work (PTW, RAMS, LOTO)
- Drive a strong health & safety culture across all operations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and asset records (CMMS)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a critical environment (data centres, hospitals, banking, etc.)
- Strong technical background in either electrical or mechanical engineering (ideally with relevant qualifications – e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3+)
- Experience with critical infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH, BMS, HV/LV systems)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Familiarity with compliance standards and safe systems of work
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
