Strategic Accounts Manager – Data Centres (Greater London | Remote)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to drive growth within some of the world's largest data centre operators. This senior commercial role focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across key enterprise accounts.

Working closely with regional and global sales teams, engineering, bid management, marketing, and business units, you will develop and execute account strategies that align with customer objectives while positioning a broad portfolio of critical infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales, revenue, profitability, and pipeline targets.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, technical stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and key influencers.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within assigned strategic accounts.
  • Understand customer business drivers, challenges, and procurement processes to develop compelling value propositions.
  • Lead the commercial engagement throughout the sales cycle, including tender management, proposal development, negotiations, and contract award.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, marketing, operations, and customer support to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and account performance metrics.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive activity to support business growth.
  • Act as the primary commercial advocate for assigned customers while fostering long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Support account-based marketing initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise customer engagement and business opportunities.

About You

  • Proven experience managing strategic or key accounts within the data centre, critical power, electrical infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Strong track record of winning complex, high-value enterprise opportunities.
  • Commercially driven with excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to engage confidently with executive leadership as well as technical and operational teams.
  • Good understanding of data centre design, operations, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams throughout complex sales and bid processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and forecasting capability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a remote, customer-facing environment.
