Senior Business Analyst – Technology Transformation
Location: London (Hybrid 4 days on site)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term for 2 years
Our client is an established organisation in the transportation sector seeking to appoint a Senior Business Analyst to support a portfolio of transformation and change initiatives across a complex, multi-entity environment.
This role will focus on enabling effective delivery through structured analysis, robust requirements definition, and close collaboration with stakeholders across operational and corporate functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that change initiatives are clearly defined, effectively implemented, and deliver measurable business benefit.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will work across a range of programmes and projects, partnering with stakeholders to understand current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the delivery of business and system change. The role requires a methodical and detail-oriented individual capable of operating within a dynamic and operationally focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse, and validate business requirements across a variety of change initiatives
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation, including process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Analyse end-to-end business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Translate business needs into structured specifications to support technology and operational delivery
- Undertake gap analysis and impact assessments covering systems, processes, and people
- Support solution design to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and operational requirements
- Collaborate with technology, data, operations, and change teams to ensure integrated delivery
- Contribute to change management activities, including documentation, communication, and training support
- Plan and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test preparation, execution, and defect management
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst within transformation or change programmes, ideally in transportation, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics or similar sectors
- Strong capability in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex operational requirements into clear and structured outputs
- Experience engaging with stakeholders across both business and technical functions
- Knowledge of UAT processes, including planning and execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience operating within complex or decentralised organisational structures
- Exposure to operational, regulated, or asset-intensive environments
- Experience working with third-party vendors or delivery partners
- Understanding of data, reporting, or integration-focused change initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
