Programme Manager - NHS Software Readiness

Working collaboratively across Product, Engineering, Compliance and Customer-facing teams, you will help bring together multiple workstreams to support the successful delivery of a business-critical initiative.

As they prepare for an important NHS framework opportunity, they are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to bring together teams, stakeholders and programme activities to help ensure successful delivery.

Description

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to coordinate a complex healthcare software programme focused on preparing an established product for inclusion within a new NHS framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the end-to-end programme to support NHS framework readiness.
  • Bringing together activities across Product, Engineering, Clinical Safety, Information Governance, Security, Commercial and Customer Success teams.
  • Establishing and maintaining programme plans, milestones, dependencies and governance processes.
  • Supporting alignment across teams and ensuring programme objectives remain clearly understood.
  • Translating NHS policy, assurance and onboarding requirements into practical business and product outcomes.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to identify priorities, dependencies and areas of focus.
  • Monitoring programme risks and challenges, helping teams navigate issues as they arise.
  • Building strong relationships with NHS stakeholders and customers to ensure requirements are understood and addressed.
  • Facilitating collaboration across multiple workstreams within a complex organisational environment.
  • Providing clear updates to senior stakeholders on programme progress, risks and key milestones.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience delivering complex programmes within healthcare technology, digital health or healthcare software environments.
  • Strong understanding of NHS governance, assurance and framework processes.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering and Business teams.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Safety, Patient Safety, GDPR, Data Protection, DPIAs and Information Governance requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working successfully within matrix environments and bringing together diverse teams and perspectives.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Supporting software or digital health products through NHS onboarding, accreditation or framework approval processes.
  • Product Management or Product Leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability, healthcare data standards or medical device regulations.
  • Experience working directly with NHS England, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), NHS Trusts or similar healthcare organisations.

Job Offer

  • Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension.
  • Role assessed as Outside IR35 (subject to final status determination)
  • Flexible working arrangements combining remote working, Birmingham-based collaboration sessions and a small number of customer visits as required.
  • Day rate negotiable depending on experience.
