Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre Project Contract: 9 months Start Date: January Rate: £500 per day Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-value data centre project. This role will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from delivery and handover, ensuring commercial, programme, and safety objectives are met.Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for end-to-end delivery of the mechanical scope
• Cost validation, budget assessment, and ongoing cost control
• Ownership of financial performance, including forecasting and reporting
• Management of P&L performance for the project
• Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and acting as a key duty holder
• Leading and managing the site management team and subcontractors
• Programme management and coordination with client, consultants, and internal teams
• Risk identification, mitigation, and value engineering where appropriate
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on complex M&E projects
• Strong commercial and financial management capability
• Solid understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety obligations
• Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Previous data centre project experience advantageous
