Housing Transformation PM

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Project Manager to join a dynamic team overseeing critical service transformation initiatives within the local government sector. This strategic appointment is driven by a recent housing inspection, which has necessitated a thorough review and realignment of ongoing programmes to meet new recommendations and strategic objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of key projects that will enhance housing services and digital transformation efforts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing operations, working closely with senior stakeholders across departments and ensuring that project outcomes deliver tangible improvements in a resource-constrained environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and oversee progress against the existing Housing Transformation Programme.
  • Map current projects against the latest inspection recommendations to identify gaps.
  • Develop and support the implementation of an updated project delivery plan.
  • Coordinate a portfolio of housing IT and service improvement projects, managing priorities and resources efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for service enhancements and digital initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels to maintain engagement and momentum.
  • Ensure project targets are achieved within resource constraints, focusing on delivering real value.
  • Provide detailed progress reports, highlighting risks, dependencies, and potential challenges.
  • Work proactively with leadership teams to translate strategic priorities into practical, deliverable projects.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record managing large-scale IT or service improvement projects within local authority or public sector environments.
  • Strong understanding of housing services, ideally with exposure to operational housing teams.
  • Experience in evaluating existing programmes, pinpointing delivery gaps, and aligning projects with strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders across various organisational levels.
  • Excellent project management, planning, and resource coordination skills, with a pragmatic delivery approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of building trust and securing stakeholder engagement.
  • Practical problem-solver adept at driving projects to completion in challenging environments.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supporting housing improvement projects or responding to regulatory recommendations.
  • Knowledge of housing IT systems and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with service design, process optimisation, and operational change within housing.
  • Understanding of governance and risk management processes in project environments.

If you are a pragmatic, adaptable Project Manager with a deep understanding of housing services and a passion for delivering meaningful change, we invite you to submit your CV for consideration.
