Were now looking for a Cloud & Migration Engineer to support one of the most important pieces of our transformation work: the migration and integration of our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.About the RoleThis is a hands-on technical role at the heart of our merger and integration programme. As a Cloud & Migration Engineer , youll help shape and deliver our approach to Microsoft 365 and Azure migration, from discovery and due diligence through to cutover, stabilisation and post-migration support.Youll assess source and target environments, define migration waves, map dependencies, support identity and collaboration decisions, and help ensure our cloud services remain stable, secure and scalable throughout the transition. Youll also contribute to solution design, transitional architecture and technical planning across identity, endpoint, collaboration and cloud platforms.If you enjoy complex technical problem-solving, thrive in change programmes and want to play a key role in a major organisational migration, this role offers a unique opportunity.What Youll Be DoingProject & Technical DeliveryConfigure, administer and optimise Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and AzureLead or support environment discovery to inform migration scope and dependenciesContribute to target-state architecture for Microsoft 365, Azure, identity and endpoint servicesSupport planning and delivery of Microsoft 365 and Azure migration activitiesDevelop migration wave plans, sequencing, pilots and cutover approachesAssist with tenant consolidation, identity matching, device transition and coexistenceContribute to cloud solution design and transitional architectureEnsure systems are optimised for performance, reliability and securitySupport backup, rollback, disaster recovery and service continuityImplement, configure and support network systemsOperational SupportAct as a senior escalation point for BAU and migration-related issuesMaintain architecture, configuration and migration documentationSupport testing, pilots, cutover, hypercare and post-migration stabilisationValidate target services and security controls ahead of transitionSupport cyber security operations and incident responseFollow structured testing, assurance and change management processesManage infrastructure in line with ISO and ITIL best practiceWork within Data Protection and Information Governance protocolsCollaboration & CommunicationWork closely with IT colleagues, suppliers and project teamsProvide technical input into migration governance and design decisionsDocument risks, dependencies and mitigation plansSupport user communications and readiness activityShare knowledge and contribute to continuous improvementAbout YouYoull do well in this role if you:Have strong experience managing cloud infrastructureAre confident working with Windows Server, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and M365Have practical experience supporting Microsoft 365 or Azure migration or tenant consolidationCan contribute to solution design, migration planning and technical sequencingCommunicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleaguesEnjoy learning new technologies and raising standardsCan travel between sites when neededHave the fitness and mobility to support equipment installationHold a full driving licence and business-use insuranceExperience with Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) would be highly desirable.What Youll NeedMust Haves:3+ years managing cloud infrastructureStrong desktop support experience in a Windows environmentExperience managing SaaS and IaaS solutionsPractical experience supporting Microsoft 365 or Azure migrationExperience contributing to migration planning, discovery or target-state designKnowledge of Windows Servers and endpoint managementGood understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and IntuneUnderstanding of migration principles (discovery, coexistence, cutover, rollback)Clear written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational skillsAbility to work with colleagues at all levelsAZ-104 certificationCCNA certificationNice To Haves:Experience building multi-site Azure servicesExperience working to standards and frameworksExperience in post-merger integration or tenant-to-tenant migrationExperience supporting solution design or architectural decision-makingKnowledge of PowerShellKnowledge of Quest On Demand Migration or similar toolingUnderstanding of cloud architecture and transitional statesAZ-305 certificationBenefitsAt SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
