Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer | Cloud | IaC | Containerisation | CI/CD | Hybrid 2-3 days a week in Central London | Public Sector Consultancy | SC Clearance | £77,000 & 15% bonus

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing consultancy delivering complex technology and engineering solutions across the UK public sector, including Defence, National Security, and Government.

They’re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable infrastructure and internal platforms across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Infrastructure as Code experience – Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Bicep

• Kubernetes and containerisation experience (Docker/OCI)

• CI/CD pipeline design and automation

• Strong networking and cloud security knowledge (VPCs, VPNs, IAM, security groups, hybrid connectivity)

• Experience with observability tooling, monitoring, and logging solutions

• Linux/Unix administration experience

• Experience building and operating scalable production platforms and internal developer platforms (IDPs)

The role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, working closely with clients, and contributing to secure, high-impact projects in fast-paced environments.

Experience working within consultancy or public sector environments is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance.
