SRE/DevOps Engineer - Quant Hedge Fund

Paragon are working with a quant trading firm, searching for an Engineer to build a scalable infrastructure platform that supports large-scale quantitative research workloads.

A significant part of the work involves designing and operating hybrid environments spanning on-prem and cloud, with a strong emphasis on IaaC, distributed systems, and performance optimisation at scale.

Stack

• Advanced scripting and development (Python, Go, PowerShell, Shell)
• Configuration management, Kubernetes and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
• Linux and Windows systems
• HPC environments, particularly Slurm-based clusters supporting compute-intensive workloads
• Large-scale storage systems (SAN/NAS) and virtualised environments
• Observability stacks (Prometheus, ELK, LGTM, PagerDuty)

You’d be working in a lean, high-impact team that owns the infrastructure end-to-end. There’s also exposure to GPU compute and high-memory workloads, which are increasingly critical to their research platform.
