Apprentice IT Specialist

Werfen UK is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice IT Specialist. As an Apprentice IT Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting IT solutions implementations for our UK customers, gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in system troubleshooting and implementation, customer support, and system validations.

• Participate in routine maintenance tasks such as installing and configuring software updates, patches, and security fixes.
• Assist with monitoring system performance.
• Help with setting up and deploying computer systems, including installing operating systems, software applications, and hardware peripherals.
• Collaborate with the IT team to track and manage inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
• Work closely with team members and other departments to address IT-related issues and requests.
• Accompany IT Specialists on customer site visits, shadowing them to gain practical experience and understanding of implementation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Allocate 2 days per week to attend a college day release course for formal training and education.

• A strong interest in IT solutions and a desire to pursue a career in IT.
• Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand complex IT solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of IT terminology and networking principles is preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
• A valid driver's license or willingness to obtain one within 6 months.
