Are you an experienced Sales Development Representative with natural leadership qualities, ready to step up and manage your own team?

Our client is a proactive, professional Microsoft-focused technology partner specialising in managed IT, modern workplace solutions, and robust cybersecurity. We're looking for a Sales Development Manager to build and lead their team, driving growth by transforming how businesses work and stay secure.

In this player-coach role, you will be responsible for both generating high-quality leads yourself and mentoring a team of junior SDRs to success.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead, Coach & Mentor: Hold regular one-on-ones with your SDRs, review calls, and provide actionable feedback to develop their sales skills.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor team metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure targets for lead generation and meetings are met or exceeded.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and Account Directors to refine the sales plan and align on messaging and lead quality.
  • Hands-On Lead Generation: Actively research and prospect potential clients using platforms like LinkedIn, online directories, and industry news.
  • Qualify Opportunities: Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect pain points and business goals, qualifying them for our senior Business Development Managers.
  • Build a Positive Culture: Create a high-energy, positive environment through team meetings, friendly competitions, and celebrating wins.

What we're looking for:

  • Ideally 1-2 years of experience as a successful SDR.
  • A natural leader with a genuine desire to manage, mentor, and motivate a team.
  • Resilience and Drive: A results-oriented mindset with the motivation to consistently meet and exceed targets.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to engage prospects and build relationships through multi-channel outreach (phone, email, social media).
  • Curiosity and Problem-Solving: A talent for understanding a prospect's IT setup and business goals to determine if they are a good fit for our solutions.
  • Organisational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail for tracking all sales activities in our CRM (experience is vital).
