Job Opportunity: Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: Maidenhead (Office-Based)

Compensation: £30,000 – £32,000 Base Salary + uncapped commission

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you will report to the Sales Development Manager with the primary goal of generating Qualified Sales Opportunities. You will target businesses within the construction industry, engaging with key decision-makers (MDs and FDs) at companies with turnovers ranging from £1M to £25M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Follow up on marketing campaign responses and perform outbound cold calling to prospects.
  • Qualification: Qualify leads using BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timescale) criteria to ensure high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
  • Communication: Clearly explain the value of our software solutions via phone, professional follow-up emails, and web-chats.
  • Sales Tools: Effectively utilize dynamic tools such as Salesloft, Leadforensics, LinkedIn, and CRM systems to manage your pipeline.
  • Forecasting: Submitting weekly and monthly revenue pipeline forecasts and achieving quarterly/annual team targets.

What You Bring

  • Experience: At least 12 months of previous experience in a telemarketing or similar outbound role.
  • Activity Levels: The capacity to deliver an average of 2 hours of talk time per day (approximately 60 to 80 dials).
  • Communication: You must be credible, articulate, and able to write compelling professional correspondence.
  • Technical Aptitude: An excellent understanding of software in general.
  • Attributes: A self-starter with a motivated, confident, and vibrant attitude.
  • Education: A solid education to at least GCSE standard.

Advantageous Qualities:

  • Experience in account management or business development within a software environment.
  • A broad understanding of the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with financial/accounts packages, specifically Sage.
