We're looking for a Software Engineer with strong Android expertise to join a high-impact custom software team delivering solutions for a major defence client. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical systems using modern engineering practices in a collaborative, agile environment.
You'll be part of a well-established engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and enhancement of bespoke software applications tailored to specific client needs. While hands-on development is key, this role also carries responsibility for technical decision-making, collaboration across teams, and supporting overall delivery quality.
What you'll be doing...
- Designing, developing, and enhancing custom Android software solutions
- Writing clean, scalable, and high-performing code using modern frameworks and Agile practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system and application integration
- Contributing to technical decisions across your team and interfacing with wider engineering groups
What we're looking for
- Expert proficiency in Android application development
- Strong experience in custom software/application development
- Solid grounding in software engineering principles, system design, and solution architecture
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
