Senior Technical Architect (Solutions Architect)

Milton Keynes Hybrid working.

Contract 6 months, £550 - £600 per day Inside IR35

The Role

Parity is delighted to partner with our client, a public sector organisation, who are looking to recruit a experienced Senior Technical Architect to support the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and modern digital solutions. This is a senior role, working across multiple programmes to shape technology strategy, architecture, and delivery.

You will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring alignment with UK Government Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) standards and best-practice cyber security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solutions architecture across complex digital and infrastructure programmes
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient system architectures
  • Translate business needs into technical designs and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with delivery teams, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Provide architectural assurance and guidance across multiple teams
  • Promote reuse of patterns, standards, and modern technology approaches
  • Support senior technology leadership and cross-government collaboration

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Solutions and Enterprise Architecture
  • Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience producing high-level designs, technical documentation, and requirements
  • Background working in agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery environments
  • Knowledge of UK Government technology standards and policies
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles (NCSC, CIS, NIST)
  • Experience with private cloud (VMware) and public cloud (AWS/Azure)
  • Relevant qualifications (TOGAF, MCSE, CCNP or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Cloud-native development and DevOps automation
  • Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, and microservices
  • Experience in matrix or large-scale public sector environments
  • Interest in emerging technologies and innovation
