IT Systems & Network Administrator
ONSITE Heathrow / Heston
£50,000 – £80,000 depending on experience
We are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on IT Systems & Network Administrator to join our client’s IT team.
This is a varied infrastructure role covering network administration, firewall management, virtualisation, servers and end-user support. Strong, practical experience with SonicWall and VMware ESXi/vSphere is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot SonicWall firewalls, including VPNs, security policies and access rules.
- Administer VMware ESXi/vSphere, including virtual machines, backups, snapshots and performance.
- Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
- Monitor and maintain network, server and virtual infrastructure.
- Support backup, disaster recovery and security requirements.
- Work with external IT suppliers and support infrastructure projects where required.
About You
- 5+ years' experience in an IT Systems, Network Administration or Infrastructure role.
- Proven hands-on experience with SonicWall firewalls – this is essential.
- Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi/vSphere.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Relevant IT certifications and experience of multi-site environments, PowerShell or infrastructure monitoring tools would be advantageous.
The Package Salary: £50,000 – £80,000 depending on experience
Location: Heathrow / Heston
Working: Fully office/depot based – no remote working
