Transformation Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Leader to help oversee and enable a large-scale technology modernisation initiative for one of our clients. The role will act as a bridge between business strategy, product requirements, and technical delivery, ensuring alignment across multiple product lines and major platform transformation workstreams.

Key responsibilities Programme & Solution Enablement
  • Oversee the coordination of four major modernisation workstreams.
  • Build and maintain the strategic programme roadmap in partnership with product and technology leads.
  • Facilitate Domain-Driven Design workshops and solution alignment sessions with product, engineering, and architecture teams.
Business & Technology Alignment
  • Partner with product leaders from across all platforms to align feature roadmaps, ensuring a common platform vision and measurable business value.
  • Translate technical dependencies (microservices, Unity/WebView, API contracts, Pub/Sub messaging, etc.) into business impacts and clear decision points.
  • Ensure new services and client capabilities are designed with long-term reuse, scalability, and resilience in mind.
Delivery Oversight
  • Ensure dependencies between backend and frontend services and teams are identified, tracked, and resolved.
  • Work with engineering leads to identify risks from documentation gaps, technical debt, and hidden dependencies, and propose mitigation plans.
  • Promote best practices in CI/CD, GitOps pipelines, and microservices lifecycle management.
Skills & Experience Essential
  • Proven track record in digital transformation or platform modernisation programmes.
  • Strong background in enterprise/solution architecture with understanding of microservices and cloud-native patterns.
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills, able to balance business priorities with technical constraints.
  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), bounded contexts, event storming, and product domain mapping.
  • Deep understanding of software development operating models and cross-functional product/engineering organisation design.
  • Consulting or advisory experience in complex multi-vendor, multi-product environments.
Preferred
  • Background in gaming / social casino / large-scale consumer applications.
  • Familiarity with Unity and Webview architecture.
  • Experience with GCP (Pub/Sub, autoscaling, observability) or equivalent cloud environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and platform enablement practices.
Location

London: 2-3 days in office near Heathrow.
