Partner Financial are pleased to be supporting a large technology led international consumer business in the appointment of a Finance Business Partner. This role will play a key part in supporting strategic initiatives and enhancing financial decision making across several complex business areas.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted commercial advisor, helping translate strategy into robust financial plans while ensuring appropriate governance, control and performance insight. This position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders within a sophisticated, fast-moving environment.
This opportunity will suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the business, influencing outcomes and balancing strategic ambition with financial discipline within a large, matrix-led organisation and who brings experience supporting technology focused functions and their associated complexities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary financial point of contact for senior business leaders, providing insight and challenge to support informed commercial decisions.
- Lead the development of annual plans, outlooks and reforecasts, ensuring assumptions are robust, aligned to strategic direction and realistically deliverable.
- Support periodic financial close cycles, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and clear commentary on performance drivers.
- Deliver forward-looking analysis, modelling and financial evaluation to support investment decisions, prioritisation and resource planning.
- Apply strong technical accounting judgement to project spend, including assessment of capitalisation and ongoing asset review.
- Track financial performance against agreed targets, identifying emerging risks or opportunities and working with stakeholders to address variances.
- Provide financial rigour and commercial perspective to business planning, supporting sustainable growth alongside cost efficiency.
- Ensure financial policies, controls and governance frameworks are understood and consistently applied, while remaining responsive to commercial needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong academic grounding
- Strong ability to build credibility and influence with senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, improvement-focused mindset with confidence to challenge constructively.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to translate financial information into meaningful insight.
- High level of attention to detail, with strong Excel and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating within a broader finance team.
