Senior .NET Developer (MAUI / Mobile)
Hybrid – 1 day per week in Bicester, Oxfordshire (Excellent rail links from London & Birmingham)
£60,000 – £70,000 + excellent benefits
An established UK technology business is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a small, collaborative engineering team building modern web and mobile applications.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be working across ASP.NET Core web platforms and cross-platform mobile apps in .NET MAUI (Android-focused), owning features end-to-end from technical design through to deployment and support. The team works in an agile environment and the expectation is that you're comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
You'll be writing C# on modern .NET, designing and building RESTful APIs, working with Entity Framework Core and keeping SQL Server and Azure SQL performing well. Clean architecture, SOLID principles and writing testable, maintainable code matter here.
As well as your own development work, you'll contribute to code reviews, help shape technical standards, provide some light-touch mentoring to less experienced developers and engage directly with stakeholders. Not a management role - but you'll have influence.
Key Experience:
- 5+ years commercial .NET development
- Strong ASP.NET Core including MVC and API development
- Experience building Android apps with .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms
- Good OOP and software design skills, comfortable thinking about architecture
- Solid Entity Framework Core knowledge including performance tuning
- Strong SQL across SQL Server or Azure SQL
- Git-based collaborative working
- Some experience with automated testing
