Software Developer / Platform Engineer - Kafka

A large technology-led organisation is looking to hire a Software Developer to work on a business-critical data platform.

This role focuses on building and supporting real-time, high-volume data services that sit at the core of the platform. Kafka is a key technology, so hands-on experience using Kafka in production environments is essential.

You’ll be involved in developing scalable, low-latency services, improving platform reliability, and building tooling and automation to support wider engineering and data teams. The environment is fast-paced and delivery focused, working on systems that operate at significant scale.

The team is open on technical background. Experience with Java, .NET, Go or similar enterprise languages is suitable, as long as you have strong Kafka experience and have worked with distributed systems.

This role would suit a Software Developer, Platform Engineer or Data Platform Developer who enjoys working close to core infrastructure and taking ownership of critical services.
