We are seeking an experienced and driven MI/BI & Insight Manager to lead and coordinate a team of MI Analysts, Data Analysts, and BI Developers. This pivotal role will be responsible for generating, analysing, and presenting high-quality data and insights that support key operational and strategic business activities.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and actionable reports and dashboards that enable informed decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with Business Managers to understand their data needs and ensure the effective translation of business requirements into meaningful insights.
In addition to leading the analytics team, you may also oversee other support staff and act as the primary liaison with external contractors and service providers, ensuring that all third-party engagements align with internal data and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the MI, BI, and Analytics function, working closely with operational leaders to ensure reporting aligns with business goals and requirements.
- Define and implement a robust data and reporting strategy, including the development of a BI/MI framework, data governance standards, and lifecycle management practices.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of BI solutions and dashboards (e.g. Power BI), ensuring actionable insights and effective decision support across departments.
- Champion data quality, structure, and accessibility, owning the end-to-end management of data from collection to business-facing output.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data requirements, identify appropriate data sources, and ensure data integrity and alignment with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a team of analysts and developers, fostering a high-performing culture while managing external vendor relationships where necessary.
- Contribute to the development of the organisation’s data platform roadmap, ensuring scalable, future-proof solutions that support business growth and innovation.
Key Skills - Must Haves:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, and Microsoft Fabric as part of delivering enterprise-level BI and analytics solutions
- Proven line management experience, including mentoring and motivating technical teams
Additional Key Skills:
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with Python or R for statistical programming and data analysis
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data mapping, and logical data modelling concepts
- Demonstrated experience with Azure data tools (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, DataLake, Databricks) in a cloud-based architecture
- Excellent business analysis capabilities, including stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and requirements gathering
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments, with a track record of delivering data solutions aligned to business strategy
