We're looking for an experienced engineer to join a fast-growing payments technology company shaping the future of secure, instant, and innovative payment solutions. This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, implement secure DevOps practices, and ensure the reliability and integrity of systems and data across the business.

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate resource provisioning with security best practices.
  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain automated, secure deployment and testing workflows.
  • Integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration with secure configurations.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring.
  • Develop observability tools to detect anomalies and security threats.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases with strong security controls.
  • Perform backups, recovery, and replication to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in cloud, DevOps, SRE, DBA, network, and systems operations with a security-first mindset, with a healthy blend of 5+ years experience in Azure and the MS Stack
  • Experience managing secure cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments within a financial services, online or technical organisation
  • Proficiency in automating workflows and infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization.
  • Solid database management and secure design experience.
  • Strong networking and systems administration skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in cloud, security, networking, or systems administration.
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards (PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001).
