Role: Application Support

Location: Bristol (hybrid)

Salary: up to £35,000

Peaple Talent have partnered with a scaling software business to support with the hire of an Application Support Engineer.

The Role:

• Oversee the data pipeline process (ETL) to ensure data from multiple sources is correctly integrated into the model.
• Monitor automated tests and carry out manual checks to ensure data quality before client releases.
• Fix issues when they arise, typically by adjusting existing Python or SQL scripts or pipeline tools.
• Work with client-facing and analysis teams to respond to queries about the data and outputs.
• Help improve the release process by increasing automation, updating documentation, and creating simple tools to reduce manual work.

The Candidate:

• Python and SQL: maintaining existing code and developing scripts/queries as needed.
• Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
• Familiarity with GitHub and Jira for version control and code management.
• Understanding of data quality checks (validation, constraints, integrity testing).
• Experience testing software before production deployment.
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality documentation.
