DevOps Engineer
DevOps Engineer (AWS) - Bristol - £55,000-£75,000 per year DOE - Site based role

Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience who is looking to further develop their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and improving cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes, primarily within an AWS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
- Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
- Support infrastructure as code (IaC) practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices and tooling
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–5 years’ experience in a DevOps or similar role
- Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
Role Details:
- Level: Mid-Level (aligned to existing team structure; not suitable for senior candidates)
- Location: Ideally Bristol-based or willing to be onsite full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- Employment Type: Permanent preferred (contract also considered)
Salary / Day Rate
- Permanent: £50,000 – £75,000 (range allows for progression)
- Contract: £400 – £500 per day - outside scope (IR35)

- Stage 2: Final discussion with senior technical leadership
