IT Support Engineer
IT Support Engineer | Permanent | Remote| up to £37,500 |
We’re currently looking for an ambitious IT Support Engineer to join our client - an established and growing UK construction and infrastructure business.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone with strong IT support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, working under pressure and delivering excellent service to end users.
This is a great opportunity to lead on high-quality IT support services to office-based and remote users across the UK, ensuring the effective operation, security, and reliability of IT systems and services.
The Role
- Providing remote and telephone-based IT support for office and mobile users across the business
- Delivering occasional field-based support, including overnight stays where required
- Building, configuring, and deploying laptops and mobile devices using Intune
- Maintaining IT hardware assets and updating the asset register
- Managing antivirus protection, malware removal, patching, backups, and restores
- Creating and maintaining user accounts within NetSuite and Entra
- Supporting network infrastructure including WiFi, Starlink, mobile connectivity, and VoIP systems
- Setting up, supporting, and troubleshooting mobile devices and IT hardware
- Supporting and configuring Microsoft 365, including occasional development work
- Liaising with third-party suppliers to maintain high levels of IT service and support
- Undertaking ongoing training and development through the company’s in-house learning platform
About you
- Proven experience in an IT support or technical role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related applications
- Understanding of mobile devices, including troubleshooting, common faults, and basic repairs
- Knowledge of server operating systems and Hyper-V is desirable; training can be provided
- Experience supporting IT hardware, software, and user accounts in a business environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy IT team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for occasional field-based support
