Senior Data Analyst

Senior Data Analyst | Bristol (Hybrid) | 12 Month FTC | Up to £65,000 p.a

Peaple Talent have partnered with a Bristol client who are recruiting for a Senior Data Analyst on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

The Senior Data Analyst will be a key member of the Data & Insight team, responsible for supporting data analysis and reporting activities following the acquisition of a new company. This position is focused on delivering clear, consistent, and trusted insight throughout a significant period of business change.

This role works closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation to align data, establish reporting standards, and embed high-quality analytical processes into day-to-day operations. The position requires strong analytical expertise, confidence working with senior stakeholders, and experience handling complex and diverse data sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead analytical initiatives to align, reconcile, and compare data across both legacy and newly acquired systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Use Databricks to access, analyse, and interpret large and complex datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, BI, and other technical teams to support data integration and reporting capabilities.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate insights clearly, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear and actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver business-wide insights through KPI reporting, statistical analysis, data quality assurance, and ad hoc investigations.
  • Promote analytical best practices and provide guidance or support to other analysts where appropriate.

Key Experience Required:

  • Strong experience in data analysis and reporting using SQL, Python, and Tableau (or similar tools).
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms or data warehouse/lakehouse technologies such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Confident presenting findings, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively, deliver to deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience integrating and analysing data from multiple systems and sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical approaches and meaningful insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
